Robin Watson

Mr. Watson served as Chief Executive Officer of John Wood Group PLC from 2016 until June 2022. Mr. Watson was appointed Chief Executive Officer after serving as both Chief Operating Officer and as an executive member of the Wood Group Board of Directors since 2013. During his tenure as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Watson led the transformation of Wood from an oilfield services company to an integrated engineering and consultancy business, spanning a variety of growing end markets in energy and the built environment, with a focus on sustainable technologies. Mr Watson previously served as a director and senior manager at Petrofac Plc, working in a variety of roles in service and investment delivery, having began his caree in engineering and management with Mobil Oil, in the UK North Sea. Mr. Watson is currently the non-executive chair of Forth Ports Ltd., one of the UK’s largest port groups. He also serves as a non-executive director on the National Gas Transmission (NGT) Board, the owner-operator of the UK’s gas transmission network. Mr. Watson has previously served on the UK Government’s Investment Council and as a Non-Executive Director at the UK Institute of Directors. Mr. Watson received the Commander of the Order of the British Empire Award (CBE) as part of the Queen’s 2020 Birthday Honors.
